(ANDOVER, MA) The Treble Chorus of New England’s Board of Directors is
delighted to announce the appointment of Murray Kidd as Artistic
Director.  Mr. Kidd's extensive
experience and passion for music education and performance compliments and
enriches TCNE's mission to educate children and young adults by providing
vocal training and performance experience that inspires a life-long passion for
choral music from around the world.

Mr. Kidd has been
involved in the education of young musicians for over 20 years in a variety of
capacities.  He has been voice
instructor, choral conductor and mentor to young and aspiring musicians.  Past students have gone on to acclaimed music
programs at Indiana University, Michigan University, Manhattan School, Eastman,
Boston University, Boston Conservatory, Hartt School of Music, and many
others.  Currently, Mr. Kidd is the
director of the Middleborough High School Choirs and he founded the Young Ambassador’s
choir in Cambridge.  He brings a wealth
of choral experience and has been a long term presence with the Handel &
Haydn Society of Boston and Boston Baroque Period Orchestra and Chorus.  Between these two ensembles, Mr. Kidd has
been involved with twelve internationally released recordings and several European
tours.

“It’s a great
honor to join this esteemed organization.” Kidd said.  “I have previously collaborated with the TCNE
and am always impressed with the abilities and poise of these young
musicians!  I look forward to working
with the board and staff to guide TCNE through the next phase of its
illustrious and groundbreaking history.”

Our
39th season, 2014-2015 will feature our two annual concerts “Holidays Around
the World” and “A Spring Celebration”, both performed at Rogers Center for the
