A Tuesday night fire at a condominium injured a fire fighter and left six residents seeking shelter.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- It was anything but a holiday week for the North Andover Fire Department. On Tuesday night the department responded to a kitchen fire the Heritage Green condominiums on Edgelawn Avenue. While a North Andover fire fighter suffered a minor injury, all of the residents of the building were safely evacuated. Six residents were displaced by the fire, which remains under investigation.

The Tuesday night fire was reported around 11:30 pm, according to the Eagle Tribune, which first reported this story. Fire officials estimate about $100,000 in damage.

Then on Wednesday, North Andover fire fighters responded to a report at 4:45 pm of a brush fire behind China Blossom restaurant. The fire damaged an area measuring about 100 feet by 100 feet, but no injuries or damage were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
