Violent Bar Brawl Sees First Charges: Watch
A 49-year-old Methuen man is the first to be charged after a violent video of a weekend melee made the rounds.
METHUEN, MA — The investigation into a vicious bar brawl has resulted in criminal charges.
Carey Hamilton, 49, of Methuen, was arrested and charged with mayhem and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon following the circulation of a video that showed a frightening melee break out at the Brickhouse Tavern. The fight took place Saturday night during a UFC pay-per-view.
A Lowell man sustained multiple head injuries, according to the Eagle Tribune.

Hamilton is being held on $20,000 bail and will be arraigned Wednesday at Lawrence District Court.
One pPolice have identified others involved in the fight and said charges will follow.

"I am proud of the hard work and dedication, displayed by all investigating officers," said Mayor James Jajuga. "We, as a city, and as a police department, will not allow this type of behavior to go unpunished."
