Walk A Mile In My Shoes on September 22, 2018

St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor® Walk Will Help Those in Need

On Saturday, September 22 the St. Michael Church conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will hold its seventh annual Friends of the Poor® Walk at 10:00 starting at the Old Center in North Andover. All are encouraged to participate as walkers, pledgers, volunteers, or all three. To register as a walker, to pledge support for a walker, or for more information, call 978-686-4050.

The Walk will support the efforts of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Michael Church in assisting those in need in the North Andover community. Money raised from the walk will be used to help deliver Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to approximately 150 families. While a Catholic faith based organization, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul serves the needy regardless of religious affiliation.

The Friends of the Poor® Walk is a fun way for members of the community to become a friend of the poor, to get others to join in the spirit of giving, and to show the poor in our community that we really do care about them. Come on out, walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, and become a friend of the poor.
