What You Can And Can't Get Rid Of At North Andover's Hazardous Waste Collection Day On October 7
Residents can drop off approved, hazardous wastes from 9 am to 1 pm at the Northside Carting/TBI Facility at 210 Holt Road on October 7.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- The North Andover Department of Public Works is sponsoring a household hazardous waste collection day on Saturday, October 7 from 9 am to 1 pm at the Northside Carting/TBI Facility at 210 Holt Road. The event is open to North Andover residents who wants to drop off waste that is not permitted in the town's regular, curbside garbage collection. Proof of Burlington residency is required.
Among the items that will be accepted:
- Oven cleaner
- Drain & Toilet cleaner
- Brighteners/Chlorine bleach
- Spot remover/Spray starch
- Furniture polish
- Floor & Metal polish
- Aerosol cans (with product)
- Photography chemicals
- Chemistry sets
- Fiberglass resins
- Hobby supplies
- Artist supplies
- Rubber cement
- Airplane glue
- Mercury and mercury devices
- Fuels/ Gasoline/Kerosene
- Antifreeze/Radiator flush
- Engine degreaser
- Brake Fluid/Carburetor Cleaner
- Transmission Fluid
- Car Wax, Polishes
- Driveway sealer
- Roofing tar
- Swimming pool chemicals
- Oil based paint - NO LATEX
- Lead paint
- Stains & Varnishes
- Wood preservatives
- Paint strippers/thinners
- Solvent
- Adhesives
- Acids (corrosives)
- Lighter Fluid/Fire Starters
For $15, the facility will also accept TVs, CRTs, computer monitors. TBI charges a nominal fee for the disposal of propane tanks, car batteries, fluorescent bulbs and latex paint.

- Prescription medicines/Syringes
Motor oil can be dropped off at the DPW Yard at 384 Osgood Street. Complete information about the event, including information on disposing of waste not being accepted Saturday or in regular trash pickup, is available on the town's Website.
