7-Year-Old Student Wins National Magazine Cover Contest
A Peaslee student won $1,500 for her school's art program.

A Peaslee student is receiving a $1,500 cash prize for her school's art program by winning a national magazine's kids cover art contest.
Cozette Went, 6, had her drawing chosen for the cover of Humpty Dumpty Magazine, which is produced by the Saturday Evening Post, with a piece called "Great fun on water slides, watching sharks swimming around!"
The Peaslee Elementary School receives the cash prize in a reception to honor Weng on Friday, May 17.

The Humpty Dumpty Cover Contest is an annual art contest designed to stimulate creativity and promote art programs in schools across the country. Children ages 5-7 were encouraged to submit entries fitting with the theme, “My Best Day Ever.”
