The fan is 8-year-old Liam Fitzgerald, an avid Bruins fan from Northborough who also previously defeated cancer after a three-and-a-half-year battle with the disease, according to Boston.com.

Fitzgerald also has Down syndrome. The Bruins fan dressed last Halloween as Adam McQuaid, his favorite player. McQuaid invited Fitzgerald and his family to a game as special guests, reported CBS Boston.
