ALERT: Police Warn of Northborough Middle-Schoolers Targeted on Instagram

Northborough police are investigating an incident of suspicious activity on an Instagram account directed at local children.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA --The Northborough Police took a report on Tuesday of suspicious activity on an Instagram account.

Many local children recently received a new “follower request” from an unknown individual, said police.

The students who “accepted” this individuals request are now subjected to viewing inappropriate material from viewing this person’s account.

A message from Northborough police: Please take a moment and speak with your children about their social media use. Spend time and review their list of friends who they follow. It is recommended that if they do not recognize a friend/follower then they should delete them from their contacts.
