1 Person Hospitalized After Serious Crash In Northborough

NORTHBOROUGH, MA — A serious motor vehicle crash shut down Route 20 at Bartlett Street on Wednesday night.

The crash was reported shortly after 8 p.m. Sept. 30. One person was taken to the hospital by a Northborough Fire Department ambulance while emergency crews and crash investigators worked at the scene, according to the department.

Northborough police requested an accident reconstruction team and said Route 20 was expected to remain closed for an extended period.

Officials advised motorists to avoid the area and use an alternate route. The fire department's initial notice did not identify the person transported or disclose the person's condition.

Police did not immediately respond regarding the victim's status, the number of vehicles involved or information about what caused the crash.
