Thought and Poem – June 27, 2015
There were many times when parents try to explain to their children about different things that happen in life in their own due time and they try to help them understand where they fit into the picture.
Believe it or not, I was once a child and I can remember my parents trying their best to explain to me, about the “birds and the bees.” I will say that even though I was at an appropriate age to be advised. I never understood what “birds and bees” had to do with me!
Often parents think they are doing their children a big favor by making them aware about certain things in life but when my parents informed me about the “birds and the bees” they had me scared to death! I spend hours I front of the mirror in my room waiting for my wings to sprout or for when the yellow and black stripes were going to appear on my body. I think they needed to give explaining this subject another try!

The “Birds and the Bees...”
I never was for certain what was meant...
When the subject of the “birds and the bees” was discussed in any event...
I didn’t really understand what was going to happen as my parents did suggest...
But after a short while passed there would be more birds and bees in their hives and nests.
They started with only two...
Then they did what birds and bees do...
Now there is many more of each of these...
And how this happened my parents tried to make me see.
Oh me oh my now I understand what they were meaning to say...
It was a lot for me to take into my head in one day...
But I am going stay away from the “birds and the bees...”
Because I don’t want this multiplying stuff to happen to me!
