Bus Fire Closes Ramp to I-495 in Hopkinton

Hopkinton Fire is still unsure of what caused a bus fire on I-495 Monday.

Hopkinton Fire Department responded to a bus fire on I-495 around 11 a.m. on Monday, according to Massachusetts State Police.

The bus, engulfed in smoke, was extinguished while the ramp to I-495 northbound in Hopkinton was closed.

The bus, said MSP, is a full-size passenger bus, and had no passengers on board. The driver was safely out of the vehicle.

MSP said when the smoke clears, they will be more easily able to determine what possibly caused the fire.
