John Kenney, author of I See You've Called in Dead (voted one of the ten funniest books of all time by the Washington Post Book Club newsletter) will be signing books at Word on the Street Bookstore on Thursday, June 25 at 7:00PM.&nbsp; Kenney will be in conversation with Jane Roper, author of The Society of Shame ("Wicked and wickedly funny" - Shelf Awareness).&nbsp; I See You've Called in Dead is the moving story of Bud Stanley, a newspaper writer about to be fired for accidentally publishing his own obituary.&nbsp; As he awaits his fate at work, he does the only logical thing: He goes to the wakes and funerals of total strangers to learn how to live again. This program is free and open to the public.&nbsp; Word on the Street is located at 162 Main Street in Marlborough.

The 250th American Revolution Anniversary Celebration in Westborough will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on Jun. 26. The event will coincide with the town's annual Fourth of July Block Party.
The programming will begin when veterans march into Bay State Commons, followed by a reading of the Declaration of Independence from Town Moderator John Arnold.
At 6 p.m., the block party will kick off with live music from The Reminisants, food trucks, a bounce house, face painting, hayrides and pony rides.
Later on, at 9 p.m., the fireworks display will kick off.

Join the Marlborough community for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of America's 250th anniversary. Community groups, businesses, artists, cultural organizations, clubs, residents and visitors are invited to take part in a parade down Main Street featuring fife and drum corps, militia groups and tributes to our nation's history. 
The festivities continue at Ward Park with live musket drills, a skirmish between the Lexington Militia and British Red Coats, food and drinks, cannon fire and family-friendly entertainment. 
Come honor the men and women who helped build this nation and celebrate 250 years of the American spirit right here in Marlborough.The event begins at 4 p.m. with the parade on Main Street.&nbsp;The fife and drum/militia muster then starts at 5:30 PM at Ward Park.

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.
