A crazy night at Sommet Center last night as the Predators managed to squeak out a 5-4 win against a determined bunch of Los Angeles Kings, delivering free Frosty's to the almost 15,000 in attendance.After jumping out to another 3-0 lead, the crowd got the sense of dejavu all over again as the game looked eerily like Thursday debacle against the Flames. I had the honor of meeting quite a few folks that are battling or have battled various forms of cancer. Two stand out to me... a couple of children that watched pre-game skate from Russell Wilson Jersey the penalty box, Caleb and Lakesha. Caleb, who celebrated his last chemo treatment a few months back, a quiet and shy child, but the excitement of being so close to the players was evident in his eyes. His family surrounding him with love and support as they joked how he and his big brother would pick on their little sister. You could feel the love radiating around this special family.Lakesha was at her first hockey game with her dad. She has a beautiful smile that in a year or two will melt boy's hearts (and terrify dad!) She is currently undergoing treatment and told me she was going to "kick cancer's butt!" and I so completely believe her.These families touched my heart last night... their quiet strength... their indomitable faith... their humor and confidence in facing something that no parent or child should ever have to face.
