Dozens Of Board Seats Left Open As Reappointment Deadline Nears

NORTHBOROUGH, MA- There are dozens of open board, commission and committee vacancies in town under the appointing authority of the Board of Selectmen who have terms set to expire on April 30, 2019.

The deadline for reappointment is March 27 and with the master plan process under way, this is the perfect time to make hands on change in town. Check out the list below of boards, commissions and committees that are under the appointing authority of the Board of Selectmen:

Council on Aging – two seats for reappointment + three vacancies

Community Affairs Committee – three seats for reappointment + two vacancies

Community Preservation Committee – one seat for reappointment

Conservation Commission – two seats for reappointment

Earthwork Board – one seat for reappointment

Elderly & Disabled Taxation Fund Committee – one seat for reappointment+one vacancy

Historic District Commission – three seats for reappointment + four alternate vacancies

Housing Authority – one seat for reappointment + one vacancy

Library Trustees – two seats for reappointment + one vacancy

Open Space Committee – one seat for reappointment + one vacancy

Parks & Recreation Commission – two seats for reappointment

Board of Registrars – one seat for reappointment

Scholarship Committee – one seat for reappointment + two vacancies

Board of Trustees of Special Benevolent Funds – one seat for reappointment

Youth Commission – two seats for reappointment

Zoning Board of Appeals – one seat for reappointment
