
Elizabeth “Betty” Louise (Pettigrew) Caradonna, 73, of Northborough formerly of North Sandwich, NH and Dunedin, FL , died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at home following a courageous and inspirational battle with Pancreatic Cancer surrounded by her family.
Caradonna is survived by two daughters, Diana M. Roman of Sutton and Linda J. Megaro of Northborough; a son, Richard Joseph Caradonna of Bedford; three grandsons, Christopher Dowdy of Boxboro, Michael Megaro of Hampton, NH and Jason Megaro of Northborough; a granddaughter, Heather Megaro of Newark, VT. a great-granddaughter, Alanis Bush; a great-grandson, Vincent Michael Megaro as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Richard J. Caradonna and leaves a sister, Clara “Tinker” Coffey of Clinton. Born and raised in Cochituate (Wayland) . Cardonna was the daughter of the late Louis Alfred Pettigrew and Elizabeth Sarah Ashley. She was a resident of Northborough for 37 years before retiring to New Hampshire and Florida.

Caradonna was an executive assistant at Digital Equipment Corp. in Marlborough and Maynard, teaching secretary at Lincoln Street School in Northborough and a secretary at Raytheon in Wayland.
She enjoyed her mountains in New Hampshire and sharing her love and zest for life with her grandchildren whom she was most proud of.
