The Northborough Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 7:30 pm. The evening’s program will be, “Harry Truman,” presented by Mark Bashour. Mark will discuss President Truman and the perilous conditions he encountered throughout his eight years in office, the major events and challenges of his Presidency, and the important decisions he would make. He will also speak about Harry Truman the man—his personal and professional background, and how he became the man he was and what it was that shaped his character.
Mark Bashour has taught history and government at Quinsigamod Community College for the past 13 years. Originally from Northborough, Mark has been a member of the Nortborough Historical Society for nine years.
Meetings are held at the Historical Society building, 50 Main Street (corner of Main and School Streets) in Northborough. There is no charge to attend. All are welcome.
