The StoryWalk™ is along a half-mile portion of the Stirrup Brook Trail behind Algonquin Regional High
School. The trail begins heading east out of the upper parking lot and then turns north. As you walk,
you will come across a story, page by page, mounted on stakes. You will not have to search for the
next mounted page, as they will be visible along the trail. The story, The Little Old Lady Who Was Not
Afraid Of Anything, is a whimsical tale about a lady who jaunts through the woods, not bothered by
the parts of a silly scarecrow that appear to be following behind! The pictures are bright and fun (not
scary), and it is a great read-aloud for a fall day!
