Girls at Algonquin Putting Together 'Fun Run' For Boys and Girls Clubs

As part of the DECA program, this 5K for Kids is coming to Northborough.

Recently, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metrowest were approached by three senior girls who attend Algonquin Regional High School and are part of the DECA program. As part of a community service section of the program, these girls are putting together a 5K Color Run called 5K for The Kids.

“Three young women - Allie Courtwright, Baylee Burns and Stephanie McGovern - from Algonquin High School are part of the DECA Program, where ideas and projects are created as small teams and can get to a national level,” said Lauren Confort of the Boys and Girls Clubs. “These three seniors decided to create a 5K Color Run, ‘5K For The Kids,’ and all proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest.”

Keep an eye out for more information for this run, which will take place on Oct. 26 at Algonquin Regional High School.
