Giving Tuesday is Here

You may have fought the crowds on Black Friday and shopped Cyber Monday, but today is Giving Tuesday. A day that we give back and donate to charities of our choice.

There are many ways to give back in Northborough and your support is always appreciated. Here are a few links:

Northborough Helping Hands:An organization committed to helping those families in need in town. Its programs such as the Backpack Drive, Emergency Fund, Holiday Outreach and High School Scholarship programs touch hundreds of people each year. Donations are tax deductible and can be sent to NHHA, PO Box 383, Northborough, MA 01532. If you would like to donate to a particular program, please make a note of it.

Northborough Education Foundation: NEF raises funds to support Northborough public schools. It’s goal for 2016 is to award $40,000 in grants. The mission of NEF is to provide the Public Schools and the community with resources necessary to improve curriculum, programs and services above and beyond the level supported by the annual school budgets. NEF will finance the costs of extraordinary curriculum and staff development projects, student services and activities, special programs, equipment purchases and other efforts in order to foster creativity and add to the excellence of the Northborough student experience. Donations can be made on line or sent to NEF, PO Box 1094, Northborough, MA 01532.

Northborough’s 250th Celebration: Be a part of history and support Northborough’s anniversary. The support of families, small businesses and corporations is needed. More info how you can help can be found at this link.

Northborough Food Pantry: More than 250 bags of food are distributed each month.

There are many other organizations in town looking for your support, including school parent/teacher organizations, clubs, and churches.
