The Gringo Kings walk the knife's edge between Salsa music and high-minded jazz. The eight musicians comprising the band are assembled from Boston's vibrant jazz scene and dispense humor and grace via Ed Harlow's originals and classic pop covers, ranging from Chicago, Tito Puente, and the The Beatles. The Gringo Kings is the brainchild of composer and saxophonist Ed Harlow. With five amazing horn players and a killer rhythm section, The Gringo Kings bring a whole mess of music to the stage.
Ed has performed across North and South America, France, Canada, Hawaii, Asia, and the Caribbean. He has recorded 2 previously released CDs and is the founder of The Soular Jazz Festival which will be held on the beautiful lawn at First Parish UU Church in Northboro on June 16th, 2018. Soular Jazz is an all day music festival and its goal is to accelerate the transition to renewable energy fueled by jazz and green technology.
