Holy Cross Men's Basketball Set To Face Lehigh On Kids Weekend

The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns home this weekend, when it plays host to Lehigh in a 1:05 p.m. game on Saturday, Jan. 16.

The Holy Cross men’s basketball team returns home this weekend, when it plays host to Lehigh in a 1:05 p.m. game on Saturday, Jan. 16. This will be Kids Weekend at the Hart Center, with a Family 4 Pack of tickets available for just $15.00. Anyone who purchases a Family 4 Pack online will have the opportunity for their child to be on the court during pregame warm-ups and introductions as a Kid Captain!

The contest between the Crusaders and the Mountain Hawks can be seen live on the internet through Crusader Vision and the Patriot League Network. In addition, the game will air live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Holy Cross enters the contest with an overall record of 7-9 and a 2-3 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders have lost three of their last four games, and are coming off a 65-52 setback at Lafayette on Wednesday. Holy Cross is currently in a five-way tie for fifth place in the Patriot League with Army West Point, Boston University, Lafayette and Lehigh.

Junior guard Robert Champion currently leads the team by averaging 13.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. Freshman forward Karl Charles has also been playing well, with averages of 10.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest. Junior forward Malachi Alexander has added 10.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game, while senior guard Cullen Hamilton is chipping in with 9.7 points and 2.6 boards per contest.

Lehigh stands 4-12 overall this season with a 2-3 mark in the Patriot League. The Mountain Hawks have dropped four of their last six games, and are coming off an 82-76 loss to Bucknell on Monday. Lehigh also stands just 1-8 on the road this year. Junior center Tim Kempton currently leads the team with averages of 17.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Junior guard Austin Price has added 13.3 points and 3.1 boards per contest, while freshman guard Kyle Leufroy is averaging 10.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.

After the contest with Lehigh, the Crusaders will remain at home to face Army West Point on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 7:05 p.m.
