Housing and Economic Development Sec. Jay Ash will visit district

Representative Naughton will host Sec. Jay Ash for district event on Thursday, May 28.

(CLINTON) – State Representative Harold P. Naughton, Jr. will welcome the MA Secretary on Housing and Economic Development, Jay Ash, to the 12th Worcester District on Thursday, May 28th for a meeting and district tour beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Clinton Selectmen’s Chamber.

The purpose of this meeting is to bring Secretary Ash to the district to engage in a dialogue among local economic and business stakeholders including business owners, housing officials, developers, and elected officials. With serious housing and economic development challenges facing our area, this event is a great opportunity to involve Secretary Ash in the discussion surrounding recent developments and promote future initiatives throughout the district.

The event will begin at the Clinton Town Hall in the Selectmen’s Chamber for a presentation by Representative Naughton and Secretary Ash followed by a group discussion. From there, Representative Naughton will lead Secretary Ash on a tour of the district making stops at relevant projects and businesses that contribute to our local economic development and way of life. These stops include 19 Carter Project in Berlin, Riverbridge Project in Berlin, and Clinton Savings Bank on Route 140 in Boylston.
