In Court: Nitrous Oxide Case Continued; Possession Cases; OUI Charges

This following cases were heard at Westborough District Court within the past week, and involved incidents that occurred in Northborough and/or Northborough residents.

Matthew Connor, 28, of 31 Sunset Drive, Dudley, was summonsed to court on a complaint July 21 in Northborough by State Police and charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the first charge upon payment of $800 in court costs and found him responsible on the second charge and fined him $150.

Jessica K. Ward, 19, of 10 Isaac Miller Rd., Westborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint June 9 by Northborough police and charged with OUI liquor, marked lanes violation and possession/use of false/stolen Registry of Motor Vehicles documents. Judge Virzi continued the case to July 16.

Hunter J. Moore, 25, of 30 Greenview Dr., Apt. 39, Manchester, N.H., was summonsed to court on a complaint June 8 by Northborough police and charged with possession of a class B drug and inhaling glue/toxic substance. Judge Virzi continued the case to July 30.

Police said he had in his possession on June 8 a nitrous oxide tank which he was using to fill balloons, according to the police report. He was selling the nitrous-filled balloons to customers, the police report said. He was selling them outside his hotel room at 380 Southwest Cutoff, Apt. 234, police said. The sale and possession of nitrous oxide violates the law, the police report said. He also admitted to having "acid" in his possession, which is illegal, the police report said.

Shawna M. Kelly, 42, of 44 Park St., Shrewsbury, was arrested June 12 by Northborough police and charged with OUI and marked lanes violation. Judge Virzi continued the case to July 26.

Anselma Milagro Lopez-Martinez, 43 McGee Ave., Marlborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 26 by Northborough police and charged with driving without a license and failure to stop/yield. Judge Virzi dismissed the first charge upon payment of $800 court costs and found her not responsible on the second charge.

Robert S. Kaufman, 25, of 5 Miles Circle, Andover, was summonsed to court on a complaint Jan. 3 by State Police in Northborough and charged with two counts of possession of a class B drug. Judge Virzi dismissed both charges.

Craig M. Chiasson, 21, of 2 Mareldor St., Hudson, was arrested March 10 by Northborough police and charged with possession of a class D drug with intent to distribute, possession of a class D drug and carrying a dangerous weapon. Judge Virzi dismissed the first and third charge. He found sufficient facts on the second charge and continued the case without a finding to June 10 2014. He ordered the defendant to undergo substance abuse treatment and evaluation, to remain drug- and alcohol-free with random screenings and to pay a $65 monthly probation fee.

Russell P. Thomas, 30, of 56 Elm St., Hopkinton, was summonsed to court on a complaint May 21 by Northborough police and charged with OUI second offense and marked lanes violation. Judge Virzi found him guilty on the first charge, placed him on probation until June 10, 2014, ordered him to attend 14-day inpatient treatment and aftercare, to remain alcohol- and drug-free and to pay $65 monthly probation fee. He was found not responsible on the second charge.

Deborah Papile, 48, of 58 Water St., Marlborough, was arrested June 13 by Northborough police and charged with OUI third offense and marked lanes violation. Judge Virzi continued the case to July 25.

Jonathan E. Doyon, 24, of 2 Wilson Rd., Northborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 15 by Northborough police and charged  with speeding and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Judge Virzi found him not responsible on the first charge and dismissed the second charge upon payment of $100 in court costs.

Prasad Madhaven, 37, 6303 Avalon Dr., Northborough, was summonsed to Westborough District Court when Southborough police filled out a complaint March 21 charging Madhaven with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving without an inspection sticker, and driving with a suspended license. Judge Virzi dismissed the charges.
