NORTHBOROUGH, MA —On Tuesday, May 9, Northborough voters chose candidate for several positions, with one contested race in this year's election, with 9.1 percent of registered voters turning out.

Here are the results (with a W indicating "winner"):

Moderator (1 year term):

• Frederick A. George, Jr. - 883 votes (W)

Board of Selectmen (three year term, vote for two):

• Jason J. Perreault - 563 votes (W)
• Dawn. L. Rand - 561 votes (W)
• Timothy M. Kaelin - 514 votes
• Brian Strand - 243 votes

Planning Board (three year term, vote for two):

• Theresa K. Capobianco - 792 votes (W)
• Amy B. Poretsky - 836 votes (W)

School Committee (three year term, vote for two):

• Joan G. Frank - 816 votes (W)
• Susan Marie Lawrence - 788 votes (W)

Regional School Committee/Northborough Candidates (three years, vote for two):

• John A. Kane III - 831 votes (W)
• Jonetta E Choi - 803 votes (W)

Regional School Committee/Southborough Candidates (three years, vote for two):

• Paul C. Butka - 743 votes (W)
• Paul H. Desmond - 761 votes (W)
