Social Media Saturday is Northborough Patch's turn to look at what you're saying on the Internet. We're online, and that means we're online. A lot. All day. We look around, and we hope you're looking at us, too.

Each week, we'll take a look at the interaction we've had with our readers as well as highlight questions, comments and thoughts you've posted on Facebook, Twitter and other media outlets throughout the week. You're out there and we're looking.

Highlights of the Week

Right now, 458 fans like us on Facebook and we have 307 followers on Twitter with numbers growing everyday.

There is one week left to join the Clif Bar 2 Mile Challenge. Clif Bar and Company invented a competition to see how many car trips could be replaced by biking. According to their research, 40 percent of all city travel in the United States occurs within two miles of a person's home, and 90 percent of this transportation is done by car! Their goal is to replace 100,000 car trips and will be donating $100,000 in grant money to national and worldwide nonprofit groups.

Pat from Eastern Mountain Sports Northborough has joined the red team. This group of bikers is trying to raise money to promote Safe Routes to School. He talks about his efforts on EMS's Facebook page.

Friends of Northborough Recreation needs your help. Visit its Facebook page and request a song for their . After you tell them what music you'd like to hear, make sure you buy your tickets. As of yesterday, there were only 100 left.

The Texas BBQ Company served lunch to 20 members of The Steel Horse Sisters Motorcycle Club last Sunday. Member, Heidi, raved about her meal including Homemade Tex-Mex Corn Chowder and Sliced Beef Brisket on Facebook. Site of the Week
