LOCAL ACTORS TO PERFORM IN LEWIS CAROLL'S ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Rivers Edge Arts Alliance to present Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland April 8-10 at Hudson High School.

The River’s Edge Players are staging an original adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s beloved classic Alice in Wonderland. Come down the rabbit hole with Alice on her adventures with the Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, and the Mad Hatter in a theatrical journey that will delight audiences of all ages! Directed and adapted by David Bailey, this production features an original score, live music, colorful masks and costumes designed by Kathy Farrell Wilkinson, and a talented multi-generational cast.

An accomplished conductor and musician, Director David Bailey of Concord brings his many talents to bear in adapting the script from Lewis Carroll’s Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass. Bailey has composed original music to punctuate Carroll’s poetry and plays keyboards in the live three piece band that accompanies the production.

The cast is made up of aspiring young performers, as well as local community theater performers and seasoned artists. The role of Alice is split between 15 year old Lauren Walsh from Berlin and Monique Graca of Sterling. Monique was last seen in the Rivers Edge Players’ award winning production of One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. The Chesire Cat is played by SAG-AFTRA actress Amanda Darrigo of Leominster while Hudson native Kennedy Prashaw portrays the White Rabbit. Also from Hudson is Kevin Santos as Humpty Dumpty and husband and wife duo Jon & Christine Towle. Jon & Christine take on multiple roles bringing years of professional dance and performing experience to the production.
