The Lost Art of Etiquette

Northborough Historical Society program, Friday, April 22

“The Lost Art of Etiquette” will be the topic of the next monthly program at the Northborough Historical Society on Friday, April 22 starting at 7:30pm, presented by Megan MacNeil. Megan MacNeil, Registrar of Historic New England Association.

Megan MacNeil will use journals, diaries and letter and quotes from the Phillips Family (Phillips House is one of the Historic New England’s properties) to discuss dining room and parlor etiquette, letter writing, how to pay a visit, calling cards and other behavior expected of the different members of the family and household staff. This lecture covers the period of time from 1880s to 1940s.

This program is free and open to the public. All are welcome. Programs are held at the Historical Society Building, 52 Main Street (corner of Main and School Streets) in Northborough.
