MathAltitude Recommends ACT for College-Entrance Testing
Summer Prep Course Available--Register Now! Classes Begin July 6.
For parents of high school juniors and sophomores, here’s a news flash: The SAT, which reigned supreme as the main college-entrance exam for decades, is being redesigned again. Test prep experts caution against taking the new user-friendly test in 2016 and instead recommend the rising star, the ACT.
This summer, it’s all about preparing students for the ACT (American College Testing) at the MathAltitude School of Mathematics in Worcester. A six-week ACT/SAT course will meet twice per week, from Monday, July 6 to Friday, August 14, 2015. Register now--don’t wait!
“The ACT has been steadily gaining popularity and in 2011 it surpassed the SAT in total test takers for the first time,” sais Olga Serebrennikov, Principal of the MathAltitude School of Mathematics. “We expect the number of students taking the ACT to skyrocket because the redesigned SAT is not quite ready for prime time!”

The official SAT practice material will not be ready until later this month. “The major publishers will not release their preparation books until November 2015, leaving little time for high school students to prepare,” she adds.
“We agree with the test-prep industry veterans recommending students avoid the first few rounds of the redesigned SAT in 2016 until the proper materials and strategies are developed.” Serebrennikov said. “While we will provide our students with relevant SAT practice material, the summer course will be built around the ACT Math and Science sections.”
