Meet The Candidates Night Set Ahead Of Northborough Election

There are contested seats for the Board of Selectmen and the Northborough Southborough Regional School Committee Partial Term.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA — Northborough's town election is coming up on May 14 and one local organization wants to make sure voters are informed on the candidates before they hit the booths. The Northborough American Legion Post 234 is hosting a candidates forum from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on May 6 at 402 W Main St.

Candidates will get five minutes to introduce themselves and explain their reasons for running. The audience will be able to ask them questions as well. All candidates were invited and 8 of the 9 candidates will be in attendance, according to the organization.

There are contested seats for the Board of Selectmen and the Northborough Southborough Regional School Committee Partial Term. There are three candidates running for the three-year position on the Board of Selectmen including incumbent Leslie Rutan. Challengers Millie Milton and Jason T. McDonald are also vying for the seat.

Two candidates are vying for on seat on the Northborough Southborough Regional School Committee Partial Term. Christopher D. Covino and Sean P. O'Shea are both vying for the seat.

All other seats on the ballot have uncontested races.
