Nearly 800 Northborough Voters Have Already Cast Ballots in Presidential Election

Northborough residents are jumping to take advantage of early voting in Massachusetts.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA—For the first time ever in Massachusetts, voters have a chance to vote early for the presidential and state election, and for some towns and cities, its residents have jumped at the opportunity.

As of Thursday, Town Clerk Andy Dowd said 787 early voter ballots have been processed since early voting began on Monday, Oct. 24, at the Town Hall and Senior Center.

"Like most other communities, here in Northborough we have been very busy with early voting," said Dowd. "Given that this is the first time early voting has been offered in Massachusetts, it was hard to judge how many would take advantage of this new convenient option."

It's predicted that the strongest demand will likely be this Saturday, Oct. 29, when many communities, including Northborough, are offering early voting sessions. In general ,voters have not had to wait in line. Voters are leaving with an 'I voted' sticker on their coat and a smile on their face!"
