New 8-Week Session of Integrative Yoga Therapy Starts September 10 @ SOHUM Yoga and Meditation Studio

Gentle/adaptive yoga, assisted stretching, breath work, deep relaxation, and simple meditative practices. Thursdays 6-7:30pm, sohum.org

This is a gentle, healing class perfect for anyone living with an illness, injury, or health challenge or anyone just looking for a gentle, nurturing practice. Each class will consist of varying techniques to move you toward wellness at all levels of your being: physical, emotional, and spiritual. Techniques may include gentle/adaptive yoga, assisted stretching, breath work, deep relaxation, and simple meditative practices.

In this class, you will learn how to:

  • Reduce pain and stiffness
  • Gain greater strength and flexibility
  • Calm the nervous system to soothe body and mind
  • Reduce stress in a supportive environment
  • Add simple practices to your everyday life to support your journey

Each participant will have a brief intake session with the instructor to address any relevant medical issues or any concerns.

This is an 8-week session with no drop-ins and maximum of 12 participants to allow for a consistent, peaceful & healing environment. Price of the entire 8-week session is $140 and includes the initial intake.

Alaine Amaral, RYT- 500 is a Certified Integrative Yoga Therapist, a Certified Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Instructor and an experienced wellness educator. Alaine has lived with Fibromyalgia since 1998.
