Nomination Papers Available For Town Election

Northborough's town election is coming up in May and there are six positions up for grabs.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA- Northborough's town election is four months away but it's never too early to start thinking about running for office.

Nomination papers are now available for those interested in running for elected office in Northborough. There are currently six open offices, all with one available seat.

To run for local office you must be a resident of Northborough and a registered voter. Prospective candidates may obtain nomination papers from the Town Clerk's Office anytime during regular business hours. Candidates are required to obtain signatures from at least 50 registered voters to qualify for office

Friday, March 15, 2019 12pm is the last day to obtain nomination papers from the Town Clerk's Office. Tuesday, March 19, 2019 5pm is the last day to submit nomination papers to the Town Clerk's Office.

Moderator: 1 Year term, Frederick A. George Jr. (Incumbent)

Board of Selectmen: 3 Years term, Leslie Rutan (Incumbent)

Planning Board: 3 Years term, Michelle Gillespie (Incumbent)

School Committee: 3 Year term, Keith R. Lebel (Incumbent)

N/S Regional School Committee: 3 Year term, Joan G. Frank (Incumbent)

N/S Regional School Committee: 1 Year (partial term), Jonetta E. Choi (resigned 1/1/2019)
