Northborough Coronavirus: 49 Confirmed Cases

Here are the latest updates on the coronavirus in Northborough.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA — Northborough has 49 positive cases of the new coronavirus, as of Tuesday. Twenty-four people have been removed from quarantine in Northborough.

Northborough said it will continue to maintain essential services to the extent possible. Although town buildings are closed to the public, staff remains available by e-mail and phone to assist residents and provide services.

The town is following CDC guidance and suggesting resident wear face coverings whenever in public. Cloth masks should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.

The total number of cases in the state is 28,163. Gov. Charlie Baker said on Tuesday, about half the state's nearly 16,000 hospital beds are available for patients suffering from COVID-19.
