Northborough Native, Algonquin Grad, Dead After Fall in White Mountains

Steven Marshall fell from a ledge while hiking in the White Mountains.

A Waltham man, formerly from Northborough, is dead after he fell from a steep ledge in the White Mountain National Forest over the weekend.

The Associated Press reported that 29-year-old Steven Marshall’s body was recovered by rescuers after he fell 40 feet from a steep ledge near a waterfall in the Champney Falls Trail area off the Kancamagus Highway in Albany.

Marshall grew up in Northborough, and graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 2003. His parents still live in Northborough.
