Northborough Police Send Heartfelt 'Thank You' to the Community
After the Dallas tragedy, several people and companies reached out to show their appreciation to the Northborough Police Department.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA—Echoing an outpouring of support across the country for law enforcing in light of the shooting in Dallas, many showed their appreciation to the Northborough Police Department since the tragedy occurred.
The police department sent this thank you out to the town:
We would like to take a moment and thank the many Northborough residents as well as non-residents and businesses who have gone out of their way to show their appreciation and support for our officers and those around the country. Since last week’s tragedy in Dallas we have received numerous visits from residents and children delivering flowers, cards and baked goods to express their support.
We would particularly like to thank Father Houston and the parishioners of St. Rose of Lima church for their quick efforts in organizing Friday’s prayer vigil for police officers and for peace in the world. Events such as last week and the recent murder of Officer Ronald Tarantino so close to home surely cause officers to become hyper-vigilant and cautious but events such as Friday’s vigil and the acts of kindness shown towards our officers are a wonderful reminder of why we chose this career; to protect and serve a wonderfully incredible community! Thank you.
