We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

  • "There should be lights at Northborough crossing where BJ's gas meets Anthony's coal fired pizza! That is a nightmare to get in and out of and I have seen many close calls there!"
  • "Cars using the left lane to take a left onto 20 from 135 only to then cut into the right lane on 20 by CVS to take the right onto Church."
  • "Not enough traffic lights in key intersections. The worst intersections to get through are: Hudson/Allen St, Whitney/Church St, Northgate/Rt. 135, back entrance of Northboro Crossing/Rt. 20."
  • "Intersection of Route 20 and Lincoln/Crestwood. Impossible to get out of each street on their own, but with them right across from each other it makes it so much more dangerous. "
  • "The trash bags that cost an arm and a leg, don't fit in a trash can, and rip if you look at them wrong - they raise my blood pressure to unsafe levels which is definitely a safety issue."
  • "My biggest is a light at Hudson & Allen Street, trying to cross over in am or pm traffic, you are taking your life in your own hands with people whipping under the bridge. Blind curve!"
  • "Traffic detail at entrance to Algonquin driveway on Bartlett St. from 7:00am to 7:20am M - F please."
  • "High school bus drivers driving 40 mph on Maple St from Algonquin!"
  • "Northboro does not have any laws or rules with drones!"
  • "Sex offenders in Northborough. Really trumps all silly traffic issues that aren't issues as you get closer to the city (Boston)."
