Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

Northborough's year-long 250th anniversary celebration is coming to a close. A finale dinner dance will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Double Tree by Hilton located on 5400 Computer Drive in Westborough from 7 pm – 12:30 am.   Tickets can be purchased on line through the <a href="http://www.northboroughrecreation.com" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Northborough Recreation Department</a>. The cost is $50 per person with open seating of 10 people per table. Seating is limited and the event is expected to sell out.    Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite era fashions representing the past 250 years (1776-2016). Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed.    A cocktail hour with a cash bar will begin at 7 pm, followed by a buffet dinner and dancing to the music of Splash, an 8-piece band based in Boston.    The Northborough 250th Committee has planned numerous events and activities throughout the year commemorating the town's history.
