Northborough Senior Center Hosts Century Health Systems

Workshop educated attendees about infection control and Lyme disease.

Jean Sniffin, Community Health Nurse for Natick-based Century Health Systems, recently presented a workshop at Northborough Senior Center. Jean addressed infection control in the home and Lyme disease. In the first part of the presentation, attendees learned about vaccines; germs in the home; food safety; and more. The second segment, which focused on Lyme disease, covered tick-borne illness prevention; how to remove a tick; and symptoms and treatment of Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Here, Jean (at right) stands with Agnes Sagerian, (at left) coordinator for the Senior Center's Low Vision Support Group. Sniffin will address summer safety in her next presentation, which will take place on May 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm, at Northborough Senior Center.
