Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The Northborough 250th anniversary committee wants to bring awareness to their commemorative plate that is now available for sale.The plate includes the 250th seal created by JoAnne Miller and displays some of Northborough's historical landmarks, such as Town Hall, Soldier's Monument, Metropolitan Aqueduct, Colonel William Holloway House and the town seal. A brief description of each landmark is found on the back of the plate.The cost of the plate is $25 and can be purchased at the Town Clerk's office at Northborough Town Hall on 63 Main Street, Northborough. The committee also plans to sell the plates during Applefest weekend.
