Northborough's 250th year kicks off on Jan. 24

Save the date: Kick off Northborough's 250th on Sunday, Jan. 24, from 2 - 5 pm at the Unitarian Church.

The year 2015 may be winding down, but Northborough is ready to start 2016 with a year full of fun and special events to commemorate its 250th anniversary.

The first event that you are invited to attend is the official kick off to the anniversary year on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the Unitarian Church located at 40 Church St., Northborough from 2 pm – 5 pm.

The history of the town will be enjoyed through music, a reading of the town charter and the sharing of interesting historical facts about Northborough during the last 250 years.

Refreshments will be served including a cake specially made by the Cake Boss and the limited edition 250th coffee blend created by Armeno Coffee Roasters, Ltd.

Tickets for the Gala being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Westborough on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 can still be purchased at the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall at 63 Main Street, Lalajava or Otmos located at 290 West Main Street, Lowe’s Meat Market at 255 West Main Street, Heart & Stone Jewelry at 269 West Main Street or Northboro Chiropractic Center at 6 Maple Street. Tickets can also be purchased on line at www.northborough250.org. Tickets are $50/person or $500/table of 10. Table reservations are limited and ticket prices may increase after Dec. 31, 2015.

The Gala begins at 6:30 pm with a cocktail hour including a cash bar, followed by a historical slide show and a buffet dinner. Music until midnight will be provided by Beantown.
