NSPAC programs announced for October
Northborough Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Group (NSPAC) continues to hold free workshops and presentations

NSPAC has announced it's October schedule and is also looking for volunteers for its newly updated Understanding Our Differences program. An up-to-date calendar of events is posted on the website at www.nspac.org.
Thursday, Oct. 19: 10 am – 11:00 am. Friends of Special Education in N'boro/S'boro Coffee/NSPAC meeting. Southborough Library (25 Main St). Following the coffee will be an official NSPAC meeting with district administrations from 11:00 am - 11:30 also at Southborough Library. All are welcome to attend.
Friday, Oct. 27: 10 am – 12 pm. Understanding Our Differences Program Volunteer Session. We will be working in conjunctionwith the district to present an updated Understanding Our Differences Program for all 4th graders in Northborough and Southborough this fall. This program will help to teach empathy, kindness and understanding of disabilities. In order for this program to be successfully presented to the students, we need parent volunteers at each elementary school in Northborough and Southborough. A volunteer meeting will be held on Friday, Oct. 27; 10 am – 12 pm at the Algonquin Regional High School library. Volunteer roles include supporting students through discussion and questions as they navigate program stations. NSPAC membership is open to parents and guardians of children who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504s or anyone interested in special education within the district. Collaboration with parents and district administration ensures that children with special needs and learning differences in the district receive a safe and appropriate education.
