Peaslee 5th Graders Raise Funds For Three-Day Trip

Sixty Peaslee fifth graders will be participating in a three-day trip in the spring to Nature’s Classroom. This is a hands-on educational experience focusing on environmental science and incorporating classroom curriculum into field groups and discovery and exploration activities. It has been a proven valuable extension of the classroom.

Three fundrasiers are being planned to help defray the cost of the trip and the community is invited to support the efforts.

Monday, January 18 and Tuesday, January 19: An Uno’s Dough Raiser is behind held on both dates at the Westborough location. Please present the flyer or the image of the flyer shown in the photo section of this article to your server. Hours are lunch through closing and it is suggested to call ahead for parties of six or more.

Tuesday, January 19: Northborough and Southborough schools have a Teacher Professional Development Day on this date . If you are looking for a place for the kids to burn off some energy while supporting a good cause, bring them to Laser Craze located at 166 Milk Street, Westborough from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Cost is $14 per person for one 40 minute session with four, 5 minute games back back in the arena. Laser tag is suggested for ages 7 and up. The younger kids ages 2- 10 can enjoy the Adrenaline Zone (inflatable area) at $9 per person for unlimited time. Reservations are strongly recommended as time slots are expected to fill quickly and can be made by calling LaserCraze at 508-366-6366. Up to 45% of Laser Tag and Adrenaline Zone sales will be donated to the 5th grade effort.

Saturday, February 6: Pancake Breakfast at Peaslee School located at 31 Maple Street, Northborough. The fun begins at 8:30 am - 10:30 am. $5 per person or a maximum of $20 per family. There will be a gluten free pancake station available.
