Rain...

Thought and Poem

Thought and Poem – June 1, 2015

Over the years, I have heard my share of reasons why people do not like “rain,” and I have had a few reasons of my own. I believe our reasoning changes with our aging.

We all know the good rain can do for us and the benefits we derive from such. Drinking water, bathing water, water to fill our oceans and streams, water to brush our teeth, water to help our gardens grow…and the list could go on and on.

What we don’t like about rain can vary from one individual to another. But for many of the folks I associate with, rain can mean a day of pain, a bad hair day or if they are planning an outdoor thingy…well rain might not be a good thing.

I can remember during my early school days, learning about the rain process and about the different clouds. I remember thinking back then…so what? Who cares about the dark skies and clouds? Well, maybe back then I did not care but I do care today. Dark skies and clouds tell me what I am going to feel like, look like and what mood I will be in if…it is going to rain.

What about you? Does the fact that it is raining outside bother you as much as it bothers me? Share your thoughts with us…Jeanne Claire Probst

Rain

It’s raining

Oh…what a shame

My hair is going to frizz up…. again.

I hate it when my hair does that

It is like life is for something paying me back

Always feel like when it rains my body pains seem to attack.

Oh you say, “give me a break’”

“How much more blame for what happens to you can the rain take?

I mean you think the rain causes all these things well…chill out… you are making a big mistake.

Your hair is frizzy because you are using the wrong shampoo…

The rain is never pay back for anything you have done or what you plan do…

And your body pains are not from the falling rain but from something inside you.

Hello... didn’t you learn about the rain when you were in school?

Still yet, the reasons why people believe that it rains when it does will at times makes us look like fools?

But simply put…rain is part of the weather cycle…we will have sunshine…snow…rain…and it can be hot, warm or cool.
