The children at St. Mary Preschool (Programs A, B, & C) celebrated Fall with a field trip to Tougas Family Farm in Northborough. The day began with each of the preschool classes having a group picture in front of the Pumpkin Tree. Can you imagine a tree that grows pumpkins?
The preschoolers were excited as they boarded the tractor drawn hayride that took them for a ride around the farm. Apples of all colors could be seen everywhere. An expert apple picker gave instructions on how to carefully pick apples. Each child filled a plastic bag with five delicious, red apples. A sixth apple was for eating. The pumpkin patch was the next stop where the preschoolers in programs B&C selected a special pumpkin to bring home. The picking of apples and pumpkins was followed by a snack of apple cider and cider doughnuts.
