Carter's, Starbucks and Michaels Open Next at Crossing
Kids' clothes, crafts and coffee are making their way next to Shops Way.

Within the next few months, the Northborough Crossing will add crafts, coffee and kids' clothes to its plethora of shopping options.
Carter’s, the children's clothing store, will open its doors on Thursday, Jan. 26.
Michaels, an arts and crafts specialty retailer, will be open in its Shrewsbury location in White City until Feb. 2, opening in its new spot at Northborough Crossing on Feb. 3, and celebrating with a grand opening on Feb. 12.

A ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m. kicks off a weeklong celebration that includes workshops, craft demonstrations and prizes.
Festivities include a card making event in conjunction with Starlight Children’s Foundation on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., where customers can create well-wish cards for seriously ill children in the area. Michaels will also give Starlight’s local chapter a $200 gift card for craft supplies to provide fun activities for children and their families.

“We look forward to welcoming the community in to our new store and showing support for local kids and families,” said Store Manager Tony Patjane. “In addition to our grand opening events, customers will find everything they need for any creative project from DIY home décor, baking and jewelry to kids’ crafts, fine art, custom framing and more.”
According to the press release, the store’s design features an open, uncluttered look with wider aisles, warm colors and brighter lighting. Key departments, such as jewelry, scrapbooking and kids are expanded and re-organized for easy shopping.
Doors open Sunday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m. and the celebration continues all week with special savings on select products, craft demos and free make-it take-it events. Customers can enter for a chance to win one of several daily prizes, including a Cricut Machine, Spellbinders Grand Calibur machine and Michaels gift cards.
And you'll be able to get your skinny latte, too, by April, when Starbucks opens at the Crossing, too. Located near and Burger King, Starbucks will offer 16 seats. approved its Common Victualler and Entertainment license at its last meeting.
