Thought and Poem – June 17, 2014
Have you ever made a mistake? I have…many times over. You would think we would learn from having done them once before. And because we don’t like the consequences, you would think we wouldn't repeat the same mistakes again, but we do. Why is that?
Most times the weight we carry on our plates is because we don’t admit our mistakes and we often will try to blame others for our actions. But the deeper truth of the matter is the fact that we don’t or can’t say we are "sorry."
Forget about the world’s history, and just think of your own situations. How much less stress could you have saved yourself if you simply just had said…”I am sorry?”
From my own experiences in life, I know that feeling of relief that comes when the error is put out in the open, atoned for and let go. There is nothing like the peace that comes from setting our guilt free.

Can You Say?
Sorry is such a small word.
When used t has stopped wars.
Yet many people find this word hard to say,
And it is not often said today.
But should it be this way?
Is it a word you can say?
If so, don’t hold back,
If you make a mistake, face the facts.
Say your sorry and free your soul,
Try to make doing better a goal.
If you do you will find a sort of peace,
That only being sorry can bring...
