Threat Of Shooting At Algonquin Prompts Police Presence

Officials are investigating a threat found inside a bathroom at the high school.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA—A threat found inside Algonquin Regional High School on Wednesday prompted a police presence at the school on Thursday, according to reports.

A message that threatened a shooting was found inside a bathroom, reports CBS Local.

Northborough Police Chief William Lyver said on Friday afternoon that investigators were still working on leads.

A strong police presence at Curtis Middle School in Sudbury also occurred on Thursday after officials there became aware of a potential serious threat to the school. A threat was shared via Snapchat among students at that school on Wednesday and was being actively investigated.
