Town Says Goodbye to Former Proctor Teacher and Longtime Woman's Club Member

Lorraine A. (DeStefano) Tegan, 69, of Boston, formerly of Northborough, passed away at home on Thursday, Feb. 2. Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, John J. Tegan Jr. She was a devoted mother to Patrice McCloskey and her husband Tom of Northborough, John J. Tegan III of Northborough, Karen Padir and her husband Halil of Lexington, Sarah Hogan and her husband Shannon of Lexington. Loving sister to Susan Mellace of Peabody, and Virginia DelGreco of Melrose. Devoted grandmother to 11 grandchildren.

Daniel Joseph Scott Jr., 20, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Feb. 9. Dan leaves behind his parents Daniel J. Sr. and Joan Baker Scott; his sister, Christina Scott of Northborough; his maternal grandmother, Kathryn Baker of Rochester, New York; also surviving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born in Newton and raised in Northborough. Dan graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 2010.

Ruth (Baker) Munro died at Coleman House in Northborough on Feb. 17. She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Baker. Ruth is survived by her husband of 52 years, Duncan W. Munro of Northborough; a brother, Richard Baker of Rindge, N.H. and a sister, Margaret Kent of Wells, Maine. Munro taught in the Northborough School System at Proctor School and was a 50-year member of the Northborough Woman’s Club. Arrangements are being made.
