Wegmans Cutting Health Care Benefits to Part-Timers

The supermarket chain Wegmans, which has a location at Northborough Crossing, announced that it is cutting healthcare benefits in 2015 for some part-time employees, a move in a reaction to Obamacare going into full effect, reported the Huffington Post. 

“Even though the new health care law is requiring some changes, we are not going to do anything that will hurt our employees,” Jo Natale, a spokesperson for the company, wrote in an e-mail statement to The Huffington Post.

The company offers healthcare to part-time employees who work at least 20 hours, but in 2015 those will only be offered to those working 30 or more.
