What about you?

Thought - July 5, 2014

There are all types of pains that people worldwide have to endure. Some are bullied, others abused in ways we cannot imagine and so are oppressed and have limited freedom to think and act on how they feel.

Pain is one of the hardest trials we have to endure. If we have experienced some kind of pain ourselves, it should move us to be more kind and compassionate to others. It should move us to want to do something to help. Even when we can't do anything physically, we can offer our ears, shoulders and hands to lighten the load of our friends and neighbors. It should move us to want to be a true friend.

There is a phrase: "Time is Money." It seems that for some, "time" is all they have as their money may be limited. We can do a lot with the "left over" time we have in our day after our personal needs are met and those of our family. During this extra time, we can make a meal for someone who is sick, console one who is being bullied and help them find ways to move forward, heal and help to find solutions. If someone is limited financially, we might go through our massive storehouses (closets) to see if there is something we might donate to another to lift their spirits. These are just a few ideas that I have rolling off the top of my head at this moment but there are more for sure.

What about you? Despite your own trials that you face each day, how do you take a moment to think about the needs of others. Share your thoughts with us... Jeanne Claire Probst

What about you?

Do You Agree? As I awaken each morning new trials I will face
The pain begins almost from the moment I awake.

I know others are feeling the same
We so have learned all the rules to life’s game.

And even though we wear our medals for the wounds we endure
We hope the best for all for our plights we can’t ignore.

I will hold your hand if you will hold mine
To help comfort one another other when our hearts do pine.

No greater friend should we want to be
But the best friend we can be for all eternity.
